Patient’s Rights

  • I have a right to health care.

  • I have a right to receive safe and high quality care.

  • I have a right to be shown respect, dignity and consideration.

  • I have a right to be informed about services, treatment options and costs in a clear and open way.

  • I have a right to be included in decisions and choices about my care

  • I have a right to privacy and confidentiality of my personal information.

  • I have a right to comment on my care and to have my concerns addressed.

Patient’s Responsibilities

  • Patients must give an accurate medical history to enable safe care while attending the centre.

  • Patients’ should follow medical advice while in our centre to ensure good clinical outcomes are achieved.

  • Patients have a responsibility to ensure that preparations for their discharge have been made prior to their admission.

  • Patients must respect the rights of others while they are in one of our centres.

  • If an interpreter is required, this must be arranged by the patient.
